Gameloft has revealed the title that they will be launching shortly for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, a free roaming action adventure game titled BackStab.
Due for release in the Spring, BackStab is set in the 18th Century, and you will take command of the main character Henry Blake, who is wrongly accused of treason, and heads out looking for justice.
Gameloft promise a dynamic combat system, involving counter-attacks, side quests and diversions, with duels and races and other activities to extend the gameplay.
At the game launch, the title will be available exclusively on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for a month, before the game is rolled out to other mobile devices and platforms. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play comprises a slide out keypad that has bespoke game controllers, and the device will set a new standard of mobile gameplay. Running on the Android OS, the Xperia Play also boasts a large 4.0 inch touchscreen display, 5.0 Megapixel camera, Mobile Broadband and WiFi.
